Sensei ROMAN

Sensei Roman always gravitated towards martial arts while growing up in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine. Roman’s journey into martials arts began in early 2007 with Sensei Vysochinskyi Konstantin, who was his Kyokushin instructor. He has more than fifteen years of experience in martial arts, and achieved his first Dan black belt in 2017, and his second Dan Black belt in 2021. Sensei Roman joined EMAR Dojo in 2017, and has since then been the backbone of our team. His passion for karate and positive attitude are contagious. and, his and big smile will make you feel comfortable in no time.

He knows how to push students to do their best in class while creating a fun, safe and vibrant environment.and his big smile will put you at ease in no time.

Roman believes in teamwork as well as guiding students to greater heights through knowledge and nurture. He leads by example, and is an approachable instructor who is highly knowledgeable in the traditional Kyokushin system (and a multiple national and international Kyokushin champion). Sensei Roman’s other interest is powerlifting, and he is a regional champion in Ukraine. He has also ventured into Aikido to complement his Kyokushin.
