Duke of Edinburgh

Many of our young students are keen to use EMAR Dojo when it comes to their The Duke of Edinburgh’s (DofE) Award, and we are happy to help. We encourage our young students to get on board with the programme as it keeps them active, and gives them life skills.

Our martial arts academy has helped many young students achieve their Duke of Edinburgh award. When participants choose ‘Physical’, we report their progress and development. Others who choose ‘Volunteering’ come and help the Sensei run our kids and junior classes as part of their Duke of Edinburgh award.

Students are personally mentored by our Experienced Instructors. Get in touch with us and we’ll help you reach your DoE award in a professional and friendly environment.

“Sensei Simeon has really helped me personally with my DofE throughout the whole process. He has given me opportunities for my physical and volunteering sections and taught me many skills including leadership, which has helped increase my confidence. This has helped me all around including in my school and social life. I would heavily recommend Sensei Simeon and EMAR dojo to be a mentor in your DofE journey”.

“I have been delighted to see my teenage son Ralph grow in confidence as he has learned karate with Sensei Simeon at the dojo. He comes home buzzing with enthusiasm after a session. His progress through grading has been a challenge he’s relished. It’s wonderful that learning this physical discipline counts towards his Duke of Edinburgh award as well. He is on track for silver this year and he has just moved up a belt. We are so pleased”.
