ENRIKA

Enkira was born in the Republic of Kalmykia, where one of the largest Buddhist temples in Europe is located. Her initial exposure to the art of karate occurred in 2011 when her parents introduced her to training sessions. During this time, she had the privilege of meeting her first mentors, namely, Sempai Nurlan and Sensei Marina, both of whom are esteemed champions of Japan, France, and Hungary. From a young age, Enkira underwent a rigorous training regime that required daily sessions, seven days a week. Her dedication to karate, over the years, not only provided her with invaluable experience in sports but also inculcated essential life skills such as self-discipline, willpower, determination, confidence, inner peace, the ability to think strategically, work for results, as well as respect for elders.

At the age of 11, Enkira joined the national karate team of the Republic of Kalmykia and consistently represented her home state at the championships of Russia, where she emerged victorious on numerous occasions. As part of her training, Enkira also participated in summer and winter karate training camps, which entailed three daily training sessions of two hours each under the scorching summer sun and the freezing winter nights. Moreover, her training program involved sleeping on wooden boards and waking up in the middle of the night without notice to perform 1,000 kicks. Such strenuous tasks helped Enkira develop the attributes of endurance, patience, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in challenging circumstances.

In 2019, Enkira relocated to the United Kingdom and joined EMAR Dojo, where her future mentor, Sensei Simeon, warmly welcomed her. Notably, Enkira has two younger sisters who also train full-time at EMAR Dojo and have already become national and international champions in their respective categories. Enkira fondly refers to the EMAR team as the most amicable and closely-knit karate family, where she always feels the unwavering support of her teammates.

Enkira’s accomplishments include being the champion of the Republic of Kalmykia, the champion of the Southern Federal District in Anapa, and a Scottish and English champion.
